We decided on a few days in Zanzibar for three reasons: (a) it sounds so mysterious and romantic - "ZANNNNNNNNNNNN- zibar" (you have to say it that way) ... (b) it LOOKS so mysterious and romantic ... and (c) there are no flights from Nairobi to Madigascar.
But what a treat when we got there - it IS mysterious and romantic ... a blend of Arabic and African, with major influences from India and the west ... we had a ball! |
